Mortgage advice made simple
We know that finances, insurance, and mortgages can all be a bit overwhelming and confusing to navigate on your own. How much can you borrow? How should I structure my debt? Why do I need life insurance? We get it. We’ve been in the industry for over 15 years and know firsthand how not easy all of this is.
That’s where we enter the picture. We make a (sometimes) rather confusing and overwhelming process easy so you don’t have to deal with the headaches of banks and insurance companies. Our focus is to build a long-term relationship with our clients and make everything as smooth as possible - we’re pretty casual and down to earth. Think of us like your finance whānau.

We highly recommend the Mortgage Whānau to anyone seeking honest and reliable professionals. Louis and Heidi were incredibly supportive throughout the entire process, guiding us step by step. How does this work?
1. Strategy session
We start with a one-on-one strategy session to understand your goals. Whether you're buying your first home or restructuring, we’ll create a plan that aligns with your lifestyle and long-term goals. We’ll look at different banks and scenarios and make recommendations based on what suits you and your situation the best.
2. Application & proposal
Yeap, there’s a bit of paperwork involved, but we’ve made it as easy as possible, and we take care of the rest. Once we have all your paperwork, we write an application that uses all the fancy bank jargon to present your application in the best possible light. We’ll send you a clear proposal outlining the best lending options for you, so you can make an informed decision with confidence.
3. Approval & planning
Once you’re approved with the bank, we have another meeting to walk you through the next steps. If you're buying, we’ll guide you through making an offer, understanding due diligence, and working with your solicitor. If you're refinancing or restructuring, we’ll map out how the new structure supports your financial goals. We’ll also discuss insurance to ensure both you and your whānau are protected.
4. Finalise the loan
After your offer is accepted, we’ll meet for a final session to lock in your loan structure. We’ll talk about fixed versus floating rates, repayment strategies, and how to align everything with your long-term goals. This is where it all comes together.
5. Settlement & ongoing support
We’re with you all the way until settlement day to make sure everything goes smoothly. But don’t worry we’re not going to leave you there. We’ll check in with you every year for an annual review. Here we’ll look at how to pay off your mortgage faster, adjust your plan to suit any lifestyle changes, and make sure your insurance still suits your needs or it needs to be adjusted.
